Together with Arctic15, one of the leading startup-investor matchmaking events, we are determent to find new ways to serve the ecosystem and facilitate access to capital for startups. The results are now published and here are some of the key findings. The willingness to participate in an online matchmaking event is very high. With the removal of face-to-face events until further notice, the need to connect with new people is still vivid. So both are very optimistic? Better to prepare for some tough negotiations ahead, but in a positive way. When we reflect this to investors saying that they expect to be able to take face-to-face meetings again in about months, things seem to get a bit tight. Overall, we can definitely see a positive drive and a high willingness to stay active, to try new online solutions and to get deals done regardless of the uncertainty at the moment. Thank you very much for everyone that participated and contributed, your voice is now heard, and shared for others to listen too. We, Artci15 and other ecosystem players are already creating new ways for startups and investors to meet virtually and build relationships with different digital solutions to keep the business moving forward.

Simha Magal. Eugenio Di Sciascio, Francesco M. The promise of the Semantic Web is to make machine understandable all the information available on the Web. The knowledge on any specific domain can be stored in an explicit and reusable format by means of ontology languages. Moreover, exploiting the formal semantics of ontology languages, implicit knowledge can be elicited through automated reasoning mechanisms.
Semantic Web technologies open new scenarios and suggest new approaches to classical problems. The envisaged applications are obvious in e-commerce, Web services, and peer-to-peer interaction, to mention a few. The formalization of machine-understandable annotations facilitates interoperability among heterogeneous resources, while avoiding usual drawbacks of unstructured data. New information is continuously added to already existing resources, and old data are deleted.

Nakama’s matchmaker allows users to find opponents and teammates for matches, groups, and other activities. The matchmaker maintains a pool of users that are currently looking for opponents and places them together whenever a good match is possible. In the server we’ve decoupled how users are matched from the realtime multiplayer engine.
This makes it easy to use the matchmaker system to find users even if the gameplay isn’t realtime. It could be a casual social game where you want to find random new users to become friends with and chat together, or an asynchronous PvP game where gameplay happens in a simulated battle. The matchmaker receives and tracks matchmaking requests, then groups users together based on the criteria they’ve expressed in their properties and query.
To ensure relevant results the matchmaker only searches through users that are both online and currently matchmaking themselves. Users must connect and remain online until the matchmaking process completes. If they disconnect they will be removed from the matchmaker until they try again. To begin matchmaking users add themselves to the matchmaking pool. They remain in the pool until the matchmaker finds them matching opponents, the user cancels the process, or the user disconnects.
Each matchmaker entry is composed of optional Properties , a Query , and a Minimum and maximum count. Users can submit themselves to the matchmaking pool multiple times, for example to search through multiple game modes with different rules. Properties are key-value pairs that describe the user.

In the legendary career of Anderson Silva , a victory over Stephan Bonnar will go down as a mere side note. However, Silva’s willingness to accept the bout with Bonnar on short notice to save UFC will long be remembered. Still, it’s time for the middleweight champion to get back to competing against the best in the world. Over recent months, that would seem to have meant a superfight with welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, assuming the Canadian defends his belt against interim titleholder Carlos Condit.
However, following Saturday’s event, UFC president Dana White appeared very interested in putting together a fight between Silva and light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Let’s take a look at the fights that make the most sense for Silva and the rest of the UFC competitors.
